Fellow CMKXers,
The lack of information from the company seems to be taking its toll on many of you. When I reported to you five weeks ago that I was told a press release was forthcoming, I had no idea we would be in a wait this long. Mr. Moran's office (new CMKM corporate counsel) has indicated a press release is being prepared. I do not know the reasons for the delays in the publishing of this press release.
It was my understanding from several conversations with UC in the last six weeks that the information in this press release would give you a clear understanding of the course that will be taken by the company. I have never been told what facts will be coming out that might help us in our understanding of the company's status.
It is clear that many of you think I have some wealth of knowledge about the inner workings of the company and that I have information which is not being shared with you. That simply is not the case. I am not in the company's information loop. The task force does not have ongoing discussions or meetings about the cert pull. Don Stoecklein and Bob Maheu have resigned. At UC's request this office will continue to accept any certs faxed in by shareholders. I have agreed to keep accumulating the cert information as it comes in. UC has new lawyers that will continue whatever work is needed in that area. Hopefully the task force work and the decision of the company in regards to the recommended interpleader action will be addressed in the press release.
The company does not call me concerning the current operations. I am asking the company for answers to your questions and I am asking that the company do what it has promised you it would do by releasing helpful information to you. It is my belief there are new people assisting UC and UC believes this will be of some benefit to us.
I spoke with UC today. It is clear from our conversation that we will not have a press release this week. I did my dead level best to extract a date from UC on when this press release would come out. I was told he hopes we will have one next week, but he was reluctant to make any promises in that regard. (Don't shoot the messenger !)
As a fellow shareholder we really have few options as I see it at this time. For those of you who have emailed or called me asking the question "What do we do now?", we simply wait and see what information is contained in this press release. Please accept this as my response to your email. It would be quite time consuming to individually answer each email that I have received in the last week or so asking this question.
I wish this update contained more news, but I thought you might want to know of my conversation with UC today.
Onward,
Bill
