I know we have a member here who started an INTERNET gambling site. Was wondering how the new bill that passed today would effect you and your new business?

I received an e-mail from TITAN poker that told me that they will be sending me a check for my balance in my TITAN account, being that I am not allowed to gamble on their site anymore. I didn't play very much, but I was a bit surprised to receive the e-mail.

sorry guys and gals , yes i had to let the casino go i actualy gave it away to someone whom can legaly own one outside of the u.s. it was sad that they changed the laws as poker has been a way of life in american history since the birth of our nation through the wild and wooly western days , and yes i took a tremendous finacial loss by getting rid of it , not to mention all the ad revenues i had also paid in advance for but the law is the law and we all must comply . and no matter what anybody may say i will stay honest in this intent . and tfant is a great player and one of the nicest people i know . take care:)

As I understand the newly passed bill, you simply cannot use a credit/debit card to send money to an online gambling site. As I have always sent cashiers cheques, I am not even troubled...

As I understand the newly passed bill, you simply cannot use a credit/debit card to send money to an online gambling site. As I have always sent cashiers cheques, I am not even troubled... it was my understanding that any united states citizen may not gamble online , this was another provision i checked with several law firms on this area . there have been several arrest made outside of the one from the gentleman from the u.k. whom was arrested several weeks ago. i do belive people however and wherever they live will be creative for that is out nature and find ways around this obstacle

I reloaded my site a few days ago as well. I don't think it will effect you if you use a escrow account like netteller. It will just not allow you to deposit straight from your credit card.
