First of all - 'Hi' folks. I've been lurking but a question has come up so I had to 'show my face'. Now the question: I am a Canadian shareholder. I was trying to place a 'buy' order through TDW for a different stock (other than CMKX) this morning. A message came up saying that a 'Regulatory Restriction may exist on this stock in your province - Call a Representative to place this order'. I called TDW asking about why this came up as I was unaware of any difficulties with the stock. I was directed to a website that they consult to check on Regulatory Cease Trade Restrictions. The stock I was trying to buy is beside the point of this thread. I thought that while I was there I would check on CMKX as well. It came up with no entries for CMKX. I had thought that there were restrictions - at least in Sask. since I had that same message come up awhile back. Finally, to my question: Does this mean that the Saskatchewan problems have been cleared up now and if so, does anyone know when this was cleared away? By the way, the website they directed me to is a public site with the following address: www.csa-acvm.ca (Go to the 'National CTO Database' link on the left side of the page and use 'Advanced Search' to find what you want.) Thanks

"The Issuer CTO Database contains cease trade orders issued by the British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec securities commissions. Until you search, this page shows current cease trade orders."
Guess which Province is NOT in the database.. That was not nice.... Not nice at all..

Hey check out this settlement agreement with Great Western Minerals President?? I can't post the link but here is the text...
Gary L. Billingley- SFSC staff entered into a settlement agreement with Billingsley for upticking trades in securities of Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. Between July 2002 and October 2003 Billingsley executed approximately 56 small volume "uptick" purchases in Great Western Minerals Group Ltd. securities in his BMO account that established a closing price above the last traded price for the day. Billingsley as President of GWM group agreed to pay an administrative penalty of $8,000 and cost of investigation of $2,000. Bilingsley also agreed to cease the "upticking" practices..
Is he still the Pres??
There is a link to the enforcement agreement but I don't know how to post pdf links.

Sandy.. did not check but are you telling me it is still there? I think what the poster was trying to ascertain was as to whether or not the enforcement order was still there as he did not see it on this site which doesn't seem to cover Sask.. Although as you can see by my post above, Sask Settlements seem to be in that database??

Smegadild, yes it's still there according to the link above, but maybe it hasn't been updated yet?

I'm sorry I had to run after asking my initial question. Gr8hiker: Yes, the company I was looking for was on the list as having cease trading orders in BC and Ontario. When I did the same search using CMKX, it didn't come up at all. Smegadild: I don't know why Sask. didn't come up when I queried CMKX. I hope someone else can shed some light on this as it could mean that the problem in Saskatchewan has been fixed. The site I gave in my post is the same one that TDW uses to check for cease trade orders - the front desk agent gave it to me.

It would be nice to clear this up because it would mean a veil has been lifted and it would mean compliance is met there. I wish this post would get more attention... bump
