Dear Bob, Oreocookie and I offer our deepest condolences for the loss of your father. Although we did not know him we are quite sure he was an outstanding man as evidenced by his military funeral with full honors. I am sure he served his country and family with great pride. Surely he raised an honorable son. As best as you can, try not to mourn his death but instead celebrate his life! I'm sure I speak for everyone on this board in letting you know our thoughts and prayers are with you and you're family. God be with you and yours. Warmest Regards, Boyscout and Oreocookie

Thank you very much for all your kind words and prayers. I had to make the difficult decision to let my Dad go. Reading your messages have brought great comfort to one of the most difficult times in life.
Dad received full military honors. As a military veteran to another military veteran, as a son to a father, I proudly saluted Dad as his flagged draped coffin was slowly carried by military honor guards to his final resting place. The military honor guards saluted Dad with a volley of shots. I stood at attention and saluted the military as the senior officer knelt down on one knee and presented the folded flag to me. It was a sad but proud moment for us. Dad will be missed.
Thank you again for all your thoughtful messages...God Bless you All.
