www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=pFjaQoOdJvII HAD NO IDEA, THEY HAD THIS KIND OF FLOODING....all I heard about was saving the Grand Old Opry...and that was brief. Nothing like New Orleans ... Why?? Can you believe it... Another outrageous INEQUITY of our own... the ''SILENT MAJORITY''. so tired of the Squeaky wheels invading the dignity of our lives and country.... JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF BLEEDING HEART LIBERAL NEWS -NON-COVERAGE. SICK OF IT. If you have ever been to downtown Nashville you will recognize so many of the downtown streets, landmarks etc... These poor people ...where's the presidents fly over to show us his compassion and aide for these folks.... No Looting, no riots and only 15 minutes of national coverage... What will happen? The people of Nashville will pick up the pieces and go on... Keep these folks in your prayers.

My brother and his family live about a half hour out of Nashville. Their area did not flood (thank god!) but there was a lot of damage in and around Nashville. I donated to the Red Cross - that's about all I can do from Alaska...
I'm heading down to my brother's next month for a family get-together and my sister in-law is trying to find things for all of us to do since a lot has been destroyed in Nashville. Between the attempted bombing in NYC and the oil spill, Nashville surely has not gotten the coverage this deserves.

Portrush - so sorry about all that is going on in your community. I hope your family didn't sustain any damage.
That insurance deductible is INSANE! I hope once the final amount is split amongst everyone, it doesn't work out to be insurmountable. I don't really know much about Nashville as my brother lives in Murfreesboro, and I've only been there twice.
I sure wish things would get settled soon with this cmkx saga, as I know I myself would be willing to make a much bigger contribution towards Nashville's recovery than what I have...

That's one amount for one entity. Crazy isn't it. But the individual homeowners have to deal with their own. Thankfully there weren't too many that got hit that hard here. Maybe 8 out of 400+. Just those closest to streams turned to rivers. It was wild! But the other areas around Nashville were MUCH worse and many of those folks are still without. Sad. But its a great city and the folks chipping in are legion! There is plenty for you to do when you get here. I am sure you will have a wonderful time! pr
