I remember back to DD posted by abadgoodgirl regarding hostile takeovers. One of her projections was that DeBeers tried to buy out enough shares to take over CMKX. Now if we believe the theory that RG and UC knew what was going on...they increased the O/S and never released them or turned them into the trust (multiple theories could work here) and it has been proven that DB through intermediaries were involved...I could easily see that DB was "forced" out in some manner. Perhaps what they had to pay was their claims at a reduced rate, or perhaps money they receive will be returned under the table. This news today from SHORE Gold sure is interesting....the dots with Newmont seem to lead to lots of things being connected. Newmont and SGGM JV Someone (Kensington President I believe) in video mentioning that a big player was going to come into FALC and unite it. I have a warm fuzzy feeling going on again. I almost get the impression that the short has something to do with the leverage applied to DeBeers to sell. Ya Think? Maybe JMO Joe

What if DeBeers was a culprit that tried to bring us down by buying NSS out the wazoo...and they got caught and cannot ever be bonified? Could that have forced their hand? pr

FWIW, I do not believe DeBeers sold its 40 billion valuation claims to Shore for 180 million. They sold their interest in the joint venture partnership to shore. There is a significant difference. finance.yahoo.com/q?s=SGF.TOAlso, if I am not mistaken, the land in question, the claims in question were on Shore claims. Albeit at the edge of Debeers' claims. How that will all shake out, remains to be seen.

[glow=green,2,100]They just had an update this morning....[/glow] BULLETIN and UPDATE: Saskatchewan: All samples from the the 121 (East Side) and 122 (West Side) kimberlite pipes, collected from this summer's drill program in Saskatchewan were delivered to the lab, with results pending. Interesting news from Shore and De Beers today: Shore's wholly owned subsidiary is acquiring De Beers' 42.245-per-cent stake in Fort a La Corne, Saskatchewan Quebec: The Portage summer program in Quebec has wrapped-up. A preliminary report is due shortly. And speaking of Quebec, Forest Gate Resources' neighbour, Ashton Mining, just announced an estimated diamond content of 91 carats per hundred tonnes taken from an 18.4-tonne sample collected from its North Anomaly kimberlite dike on the Foxtrot property. Additionally, summer exploration drilling conducted by Ashton and its 50:50 joint venture partner, Soquem Inc., has resulted in the discovery of a new dike within the North Anomaly area approximately 1.5 kilometres south of the first discovery and four kilometres north of the Renard cluster. What the heck is the Shore Gold ticker for use with TDAtrade??? I called them three years or so ago and the rep told me it was SHGDF. But, putting that ticker in my Atrade streamer shows a hod of $4.61 and a lod of $4.55 with no name of a business in the "description" box. There's a name there for every other company on my streamer! What is that all about? Looking at the Shore Gold chart on "Stockcharts.com" I see its last trade price at $5.22 which Atrade doesn't show it even trading at today. Please would someone enlighten me??? God I despise TDAmeritrade! If I weren't getting free news and streamer and other "goodies" being an Apex member, I'd cash out all my positions then tell them what I think of their business and then tell them that I was going to tell everyone I could what I think of their business. stockcharts.com/h-sc/uimicro Micro: The US symbol for Shore is SHGDF and the Canadian is SGF.TO They are the same stock but the prices don't always correlate from day to day even allowing for the exchange rate. I've had SHGDF for a couple of years and could never figure out the difference in price but just today I double checked on Bloomberg that they are the same issue. Go figure! Hope this helps. I was lucky to get in at $1 and 1.50! Lynn
