If you have nothing appearing as bold - go back to the previous month ( Feb ) and look for a "bold" date.
Click on the date and it will give you a list of restore points ( if there are more than 1 ) in the right hand column. make sure it is highlighted and then....hit "next" button at the bottom.

Cookies are neither spyware nor viruses. They can, however, be used to track browsing behavior. Generally speaking, cookies are pieces of data - unable to perform operations by themselves. Because of their ability to track browsing behavior, antispyware programs include them in their detection....especially "third-party" cookies.

Twist Thank you again for your patience last night/early morn, i download XP again and now i can get the restore to open up NOW the problem i have is about 5-6 short cuts on my desk top that when i click to open them asks me (what program i want to use to open such file) i was able to click on the icon and it would go directly to that page same as the other icons not anymore

It is safe to delete those. You will need to create new shortcuts though.....
