I think this is very on-topic. Many of the shareholders are being led places very dangerous to all our investments...for example, starting lawsuits. We can do nothing, and watch it happen. Or we can try discussing it. What is there to fear about this conversation? C-Dub I've received several requests to move the "Mending Fences" threads to off-topic. All in favor, give a . Thanks ~

Answer my question. What is the goal?

Two part question (instead of a poll): 1. Do you care if the shareholders work together? 2. How would you pull them together, or why don't you care? TIA- C-Dub PS: The results of this effort may be shared on 66 and/or 70. 1) No. At least not in any way other than my answer #2. 2) We have one job... pull certs, and fax them in... everything else is just static. Let people fight and argue... who cares. So long as they pull their certs, and fax them to the TF I don't care what else they do to each other. That's why we have this happy oasis... there are no rifts here!

My apologies, I assumed my "C-Dub's Agenda" post made the rounds here too.
I want the majority of shareholders, those who I believe are more centerist than strictly "positive" or "negative", and those who lurk but seldom post, to come together and stop this wasteful splitting of the shareholding community.
We have been praised as unusually dedicated to our company by many, ridiculed by others for the same traits. I believe it's what gives us our source of greatest strength...for if it becomes necessary for us to act (in a good or bad way), it will have a great deal more meaningful impact if it's through the majority of shareholders, over the efforts of a few to keep us from uniting and working together.
My goal is simple: I'd like us to wait for our common fate, which is already set IMO, together....ready for whatever comes, focussed on what matters instead of enforcing articial distinctions of "positive" or "negative".
I'm not asking you to start bashing the company, or here to try to force you to believe as 32 does...to the contrary, I think you should be true to yourself and your beliefs. What I want is a return to civility...those who believing a certain POV to demonstrate why they believe as they do, with respects and facts over namecalling and labeling...and most of all, the shareholders unified as much as possible.
I have put this same message out on 70 and 32, BTW.
There's been mistakes made on all sides of this. We can live in the past, or we can start looking to our future. We all need to look at what we've done, as much as what others have done...and work to fix the problems.
I choose to believe in this group of shareholders...indeed, shareholders from all boards...over the few that continue to push for division between us, in the name of "pumper", "basher", "positive" or "negative".
The only people who benefit from our division are those who would seek to harm us, IMO.
Thanks for listening, and I hope this helps- C-Dub

Well said, CDub, but there are those of us who believe that "those who intend to harm us," includes some of the very people with whom you want us to make amends. From what I understand, the attendance levels on the dark side board have gone way down. Perhaps the ones with whom we should make amends have already come over here or gone to other places of relative calm as well. Hey, F4D's here and we haven't lynched him... yet. There are folks on 70 and 80 who post both here and there and we have no problems with them. The boards have different feels and an "atmosphere." Nothing wrong with that, but I believe that if it came down to a rumble, 57, 70 and 80 would stand shoulder to shoulder and get the job done. Quite frankly, I think you're pissing in the wind with anyone at 66 who chooses to stay there and likes it... Have a nice evening. I'm starting to smell the Garlic Bread and supper's on my mind.

It is my hope that by bringing together the majority of shareholders, we may help reduce the volume of those more extreme voices in the crowd...on any side. As for 66, it's a group of people, led by a few very vocal posters who are so strong in their beliefs that they polorize folks who don't know much about investing, or may not know there's other places to go regarding CMKX boards. When you help knock down some of the popular myths there (through use of facts, respectful approach, and by remaining calm in your delivery), you'd be surprised at some of the headway that can be made there. It can't happen if people hide from those they don't agree with, respectfully. It's not for the extremists that I do this...it's for normal, everyday people who invested in CMKM, and want to see what's coming next...and deal with it effectively when it does come. I guess in the end, if someone yells from the rooftops "people who believe "X" suck!", people have two ways of deal with them: 1) Embrace (or ignore) it, and by doing so, (silently) endorse the things they say; or 2) Walk away from their rantings, and seek truth. I hope you enjoy your meal...I'm thinking spaghetti may be in order, but I may settle for a pizza instead...lol Have a good evening- C-Dub Well said, CDub, but there are those of us who believe that "those who intend to harm us," includes some of the very people with whom you want us to make amends. Rifts, as you call them, should not happen in the first place..
If the message boards would set and inforce rules. For example:
If you bash your gone on the third warning..
Attack the subject and not the Person. Personal attacks result in a three week suspension.
Name calling gets you instantly booted....
Then people who value their membership are not going to do those things.. Those that do, were probably only there to do so in the first place.. IMO

Great comments everyone. Some are so succint. Shoelessjoe -The majoriry of posters on 66 are diseased.
Brigantine - Well said, CDub, but there are those of us who believe that "those who intend to harm us," includes some of the very people with whom you want us to make amends.
I think that about sums it up.
We can't mend fences with those who are short CMKX and who are still trying to harm us. I think the core of 66 is pro shorty. Until we have a settlement we will have division. It is IMPOSSIBLE for it to be otherwise.
The only reason I still go to that board is to see if I have mail and to help rescue the occasional CMKX long shareholder gasping for fresh air.

once we get rid of the sons of beotches on the 32, then we can be one big happy family..not until then.
they have to be gone first.

Mending rifts with other shareholders is all well and fine, but the problem with pb66/32 is the people running it, and as long as they are controlling the board, the problem is hopeless.
