I believe now, more than ever, we all need to band together and pray for CMKX. We need to pray for the leaders. We need to agree in prayer for this company. I think it is a very special time for CMKX . Much is being decided, so I pray for clear direction for the company, and I bind anything or anyone that comes against CMKX in the name of Jesus. f2s

Amen, free2sing. However, this board will not tolerate the presumption that everyone here believes in Jesus. At least that was the impression I got when my post was pretty much locked and thrown away.
CMKX and all involved are in my prayers everyday.
Peace,

From its inception, we agreed that politics and religion were two issues that should be kept off the board for very specific reasons. Both subjects are highly debatable and often, if not always cause "heated" arguments, as people have opposing views. The board currently has 830 members and one could intelligently surmise that not all are republican or democrat, nor are all Christian, Catholic, Jewish, Protestant, Buddhist, Muslim, etc... The sole purpose of this board is to share information about CMKX... There are numerous boards available to discuss politics, as well as religious views.

TexasPride....I respect your opinion and the purpose of this board.
If it becomes on the board where a post cannot be submitted that would ask for prayer in the name of Jesus Christ for CMKX and it's leaders, CEO, lawyers, etc.
Then I would request that any psychic posts not be posted either. A knowlegeable biblical person would know that psychics receive their information from the spiritual realm as well; (though not from the God and Father of Jesus Christ). Psychic information being spiritual in nature would fall into a realm of "religion."
Now I'm certain what I just stated will raise the ire of some. But if that is the rule then it must apply to all forms of "religion" or spiritual influence.
I'm one of those that does not read any thread that in the title has the word "psychic" because I know where it comes from spiritually.
For those that do not want, like, desire to or believe in prayer...... I'd say they should treat the prayer threads the same way I treat the psychic threads.

My .02 cents . . . I personally have no problems with a "prayer" thread . . . So long as it encompasses everyones belief structure. Everyone connects with God in different ways . . . Christianity is a large western belief structure, where as in the east, Buddhism is more popular. Neither one is right or wrong and there are myriads of variations in between. When requesting to Unite the group in prayer, it is best that all views be allowed. Some may pray in the name of Christ, while another may pray in the name of "All that is", while yet another may pray in the name of Buddha or Allah. The key to remember is this . . . Each one of us may think that we have the one and only true and correct spiritual foundation, when it may be closer to the truth to say that each one of us only has but one piece of the puzzle. I am all for focused, positive thoughts . . . Directed to whichever higher power each one of us chooses to recognize as God. For those of you posting in the United States . . . Remember the First Amendment, which is the Freedom of religion . . . Meaning there is no one right way to worship. Amendment I - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. So . . . With that said . . . I highly support ALL OF US . . . IN OUR OWN WAYS . . . Praying, Meditating and Focusing on Success, Justice and Right Action in favor of this group of shareholders and the world in general! Peace and Success to us All golden

IMO ~ Posting a "Prayer Request" is much different than posting a message based on religious affiliation. For Example - A Buddhist can offer their prayers, even though they may not necessarily believe in Jesus Christ. The same could be considered when it comes to politics. A group could agree on the need for political reform, without interjecting their beliefs based on political affiliation. This is where it gets tricky... Where do we draw the line..? Regardless of the situation, someone is going to be upset, because in their mind, they believe they are right. Do we need to address the "Prayer Requests"..? Personally, I don't think so, because 9 times out of 10, the threads are clearly marked, as are the Psychic threads... If you don't care to read them - - - skip over them... It is an absolute impossibility to make everyone happy, all the time. So, we instituted some basic rules to help resolve any issues, before they arise. Two of the rules are No Politics and No Religion, due to their nature and tendency to cause a disruption. Again, keeping in mind that this is a "Stock Board", it would be much easier to manage, if people would understand that there are people from all walks of life, sharing the same board and that we will not always agree on every topic, regardless of how hard we try. Perhaps a bit of understanding and tolerance should be practiced, instead of people trying to mold the board to their own personal liking... JMO ~

Which is why religion and politics are so often banned from public forums. People seem to not be able to handle difference in opinion when it comes to spiritual ideas, due to its intimate connection to each human being. If you are an athiest and choose not to connect with anything, that too is your right and nobody should condemn you or tell you differently.

If the post is labeled as a prayer thread, it is thereby a caution signal to those who may wish to avoid reading it. A prayer thread would then fall into the same category as a rumor thread.

Hey Tex, It's too bad these kinds of rules have to be established. How refreshing it would be if we could all just act like respectful adults and not worry about if someone posts a thread asking for prayers on behalf of the company, or a particular need they may have. I know there are people that stay away from the general term of religion and there are others that embrace it as part of their lives. While I might personally disagree with a statement someone makes in this regard, I accept it, and it gives me a chance to think about it. If we are not concerned about being right, rather we are concerned about what is right, then all opinions have merit. I would like to say though... this is much more than a stock board. Yes, we all came together because of CMKX, but that has turned into a bond as we all have the same goal. We want to win, and we want to do our part to help right some of the wrongs in the market. Since we have spent so much time together, we have gotten to know one another, which leads to a trust and support structure. People ask for prayers... we give it. People ask for help... we give it. People ask for answers... we try as a group to get it. Because of that, I appreciate this group very much. blue IMO ~ Posting a "Prayer Request" is much different than posting a message based on religious affiliation. Thanks TexasPride for the balancing act you do so well. Thanks Westburbs for encouraging those posting psychic material to label as such so Christians can avoid as they see fit. Thanks Blue, for so eloquently stating that even though this board started as a stock board it has evolved into a board of a unified family. When someone asks, many rush to assist in what ever way we can. I for one, and I believe I speak for many, am overjoyed by the respect that has emanated from the majority of posters here and the respect with which people have approached this thread. I am sure this is not what free2sing had envisioned when she started this thread but good has come out none the less. I would only add that we also pray for the Politicians (excuse my french) because I believe without some very honorable men in positions of power we and the Market Reform Movement would not have come this far. I hope Maheu, Stocklein, Glenn, West, Casavant, and many, many others are in our Thoughts, and Prayers each and EVERY night. Thanks Free2sing for starting a thread that challenges the hearts and souls of men. And I thank TexasPride for allowing her to keep the word, JESUS, in her post.

If the post is labeled as a prayer thread, it is thereby a caution signal to those who may wish to avoid reading it. A prayer thread would then fall into the same category as a rumor thread. There is a difference in a prayer request. If one of our family needs prayers, most of us, no matter our chosen Deity, will participate as we see fit. To ask in the name of a personal Deity is the difference. Some will prayer to Mohammed or Buddha or a Higher Power or not at all. TP and Golden, as usual, I find your opinions and common sense approach to be admirable. There is no reason to turn this into a debate. Rules are rules and it is a privilege to be here and one that I take seriously. Free2sing, please understand that we are not attacking you or anyone else on a personal level. Lynn

Free to sing, forevercmkx, westburbs, blue32, dustaine, racer. I'm with you all on this. Golden wrote. The First Amendment has been taken out of context as to its original intention which was to prohibit GOVERNMENT from establishing a particular religion. Like in England "The Church of England" etc. It was not meant that religious symbols and speech were not allowed to be displayed or expressed in a public place. Only that the GOVERNMENT could not tell you, who or how to worship. Remember that most if not all of our founding fathers were either Christians themselves and/or held to Judeo/Christian beliefs. These beliefs are expressed in our founding documents. These "political correctness" that is espoused so freely, so as not to offend anyone is to me and others offensive, and is one of the key ingredients or tools helping to destroy our country. I, WANT MY COUNTRY BACK! LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT1 Take it for what its worth. IMHO. Doughboy....very well stated! "Political correctness" is swiftly bringing this country to it's knees in so many areas of life. "Political correctness" denies that there is an absolute truth. With no truth, or varying shades of truth there will be untold problems and hardships in every area of life. One thing that makes this country so great is that we can all choose to think and speak as we choose. No matter who agrees or disagrees. Unfortunately the culture in which we currently live has bended the truth to imply that Christianity is offensive. In some respects, spiritually speaking, this is a very sad time in which we live. westburbs

Free2sing had a very sincere heart when she wrote this. She is on this board several hours a day. She prays for every prayer request that is posted here. Although to be "legal" on this board she should have reworded the message a bit. She was not pushing religion. She was just being herself. A lovely Christian woman that did not realize she was doing anything different than what a lot of others do when they post prayer requests here. I for one am going to do as she suggested. Because I happen to believe the way she does. (Also because she's my MOM!!!!!) May you all be blessed!! (hope thats legal!!!) gimmydiamonds

Actually, it wasn't free2sing's post that got all of this started. It's the post directly under hers that we're bringing attention to. Intolerance is one of my least favorite words, considering that we bend over backwards to accommodate people on this board and then have it thrown back in our face when someone gets upset about having a post removed. If I, or any other Admin/Mod were "Intolerant", I can think of at least 20 people who wouldn't be with us right now...

Okay . . . Now that we are all clear that each of us has the right to connect with God in our own ways, let Unite and put our strong minds to work in the same direction. In your own way, however you see fit and if you are drawn to do so . . .Pray for our success, our redemption and the manifestation of our destiny to be rich beyond our wildest dreams while returning integrity to the markets! Cheers! golden
