Kevin West update to shareholders conversation Jan 31, 2007
Kevin organized a conference call with shareholders; Quebecor, Lucy, Pinky, Ines and Allen Treffery, and gave his permission to pass this on to the boards.
The company had planned to put out a PR to shareholders, but at this time, there is an event that needs to take place prior to the filing of the interpleader. Kevin was assured that the event would be handled shortly and the interpleader would be filed at that time and pr also. Once the interpleader is filed, the gates will be opened and the company can move forward and inform shareholders of where we are.
It is very clear that any type of action that causes a disruption of our attorneys office would be very harmful for the company and should not be considered. Kevin said that he is in daily communication with Urban, and was recently with him on an all day basis while meetings were taking place. Kevin is still the interim CEO of the company.

I am the “pinky” who was on that call with Kevin. Here are a few things from my notes that I wanted to share in addition to the important message that Ines posted immediately following our conversation with Kevin.
Kevin told us is that he would love to put out a PR to inform the shareholders, however everything is in the hands of the Attorneys at this point and they have said NO PR should be issued until the Interpleader has been filed.
Kevin also said that when he stated in the last PR that the company would communicate with us within the 30 day period, he fully believed that the timelines would be met.
He had the opportunity to spend time with Emerson Koch, whom he both likes and trusts very much. He got the impression that Emerson is doing things in the background to benefit the shareholder.
Kevin believes there is Huge potential in the “naked short” play, in his opinion.
He feels great about where we are at now, and the end result.
Kevin also stated both he and Urban are very aware of how difficult this has been for all of us, and wanted us to know how much they appreciate the shareholders. They are just as anxious as we are to see the interpleader filed so that we may move forward. He said that once that is accomplished, we as a company will have many choices.
